About K. Porter

Kim Porter grew up creating and painting, starting with paint-by-numbers as a child and then on to winning Artist of the Year. Making the decision to get an engineering degree and ‘to always paint on the side’ has allowed her to paint for passion and fun. While traveling for business and adventure, Kim has painted all over the world favoring her go-to medium of oil, but landed with watercolor when she had three young children - quick and non-toxic. In 2021 she embarked on a journey of painting every day for 100 days, unveiling the deep love of her craft. Kim relocated to the Southwest after many years in the Pacific Northwest and the color and wilderness flora and fauna changed in her art. Kim finds great joy in sharing the love of her art as each piece tells a story of how the beauty of nature and color melds into light in your heart.
